Install an Ethernet ADSL Modem - (Windows Vista)
The installation of your Ethernet ADSL modem does not require the installation of software.
The following steps explain how to install your Ethernet ADSL modem in Windows Vista.
>> STEP 1/12
Connect the end of the Ethernet cable provided in your package to your computer's Ethernet port.
Connect the other end of the cable to your modem's Ethernet port.
Your modem is "automatically" detected (no window appears)
>> STEP 2/12
Then check the connectics to connect your modem to the telephone outlet.
A RJ11 type cable provided in your package must be connected to your modem and to the telephone outlet.

Connect your modem to an electrical outlet with the adapter provided in your package.
Then turn your modem on with the button that is usually located on the rear side of the modem and wait a few moments.

You must now create a high speed connection.
Click on the Start menu (represented by a flag to the lower right of the screen).
Select Connect To.

The Connect to a network window opens.
Click on the Set up a connection or network link located at the bottom of the window.

In the Choose a connection option part, select Connect to the Internet.
Click on Next.

In the How do you want to connect? part, click on Broadband (PPPoE).
>> STEP 8/12
In this new window, fill in the following information:
Tick the Show characters box to view the connection password.
Tick the Remember this password box to avoid retyping it in the future.
Once all the information has been entered, click on Connect.

A new window appears that displays the various connection stages.

You are connected to the Internet will appear if the connection stages were successfully completed.
When you click on Browse the Internet Now, the Internet browser opens.

The Set Network Location window appears.
Select a location for your connection.
Note: A User Account Control warning window may appear depending on your computer's parameters; in this case, click on Continue or enter your Administrator's password.

The Successfully set network settings message appears.
Click on Close.
Your ADSL modem has been successfully installed.
You may now use your Internet Explorer 7 browser.
