Wireless Connection Manager - Connection to a SSID
This sheet explains the steps to effect a wireless connection to a router.
A wireless adapter must first be installed on your computer.
Your router must be located close to your computer.
>> STEP 1/8
Click on Start (represented by a flag to the lower left).
Click on Connect To.
>> STEP 2/8
Select your router in the list: the name of your router (SSID) is indicated on the label glued under the router.
Then click on Connect.
>> STEP 3/8
A window indicating the progress of the connection to your router appears.

>> STEP 4/8
A window then appears that asks you to enter a Security key or passphrase.
Enter the WEP or WPA key indicated on the label located under the router.
Click on Connect.

>> STEP 5/8
A window indicating the progress of the connection to your router appears.
>> STEP 6/8
The window below confirms the connection to the router.
Click on Close.

>> STEP 7/8
The Set Network Location window appears.
Select a location for your connection.
A User Account Control warning window may appear depending on your computer’s options; in this case, click on Continue or enter your Administrator’s password.

>> STEP 8/8
A window indicating that the configuration has been successful appears.
Click on Close.

The wireless link is now operational.
